History

The passion for hospitality which the Carelli family have cultivated for twenty years has given them an instinct for responding to their guests’ slightest requirements, to make their stay an unforgettable one.

Giorgio’s first forays into cooking came about almost by accident in the small chalet hotel he ran in the 90s with his wife, Maria Cristina, when he discovered his passion for culinary experimentation. His career as a chef took off from this point. In 2000 they decided to manage the Residence Hotel Cima Jazzi and opened the Z'Makana Stubu Restaurant within the hotel. Since then the restaurant has established itself year after year as one of the most distinctive in the area. Maria Cristina is personally responsible for running the hotel, a task which for her is a labour of love and in which she is supported by an able team of young assistants, whose traditional-style outfits once again emphasis the close links of the hotel between innovation and tradition.

The warm yet unobtrusive care that the Carelli family take of their guests has the effect of making them feel really at home.
